if a thief is experienced and determined, he will probably have a way to break the lugs rather than break your window and sort through all of the stuff in your car looking for a small socket adapter key for your wheels. i would not think that most thiefs would really want to stick around and search your car for a lug key, so unless it is in plain sight or on a pedestal with a glass case and showroom lighting, they probably either (a) arent going to break the window just to look for a lug key, or (b) would have broken in to steal your stereo, cds, spare change, roadmaps of TX, etc.
